i cant say i blame you being happy with it, if it was mine i would be more than happy , it is a fantastic shot, the placement within the frame is perfect and the lighting, colours, everything. it surprises me to hear you say that you are not often truly happy with your shots though!!
It surprises me also that you are not often happy with your shots. This is wonderful, as many in your gallery. The composition couldn't be better... going to my favs.
Perfect angle and direction, and that's what makes this one for me. You may not be happy with some of your shots, but go ahead and send them. I know I'm happy with yours about 99 percent of the time, and I'm sure there's someone out there who's picking up that 1 percent slack. !!!!
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Ah Kristof, we are our own worst critics, aren't we? This is a superb capture with the shadows and the lighting. The delicacy of the flower is so apparent here. The composition is spot on my friend. TO my favorites this one goes. Thank you for sharing this with me ;=)
As you should be, Kristof. You really can't improve on the composition on this. Dof and background are top notch as is the simplicity and beauty of the subject. Superb as usual from you.
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

To be able to show a white flower as you did here Kristof, is truly an awesome thing! And against all that soft green, well, you sure outdid yourself, and you have tons of reason to be proud ! Congrats on a most magnificient photo!! Verena
