Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

All of earth is crammed with heaven And every bush aflame with God But only those who see take off their shoes. - Elizabeth Barrett Browning<p>

Wonderful shot and one that I have tried many times without success so I know its not easy. Can you tell me how you meter for a shot like this to get that beautiful sun and now blow it out.
A beautiful picture and the colors are fantastic. I like the way you were able to capture the light, which makes the whole shot work. And, it is also beautifully framed.
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
A beautiful forest and a lovely lighting situation best taken advantage of with your wonderful shot. The guy on the left shows us how really tall these trees are. I don't mind him. He looks like a gnome.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

What a beautifully peaceful photo! Even tho the light is gorgeous from the sun, I think what makes this a special shot is the lovely Fall carpet !! And all the trees standing around "chatting" like people...nice job...verena
Everything I could think off telling has already been said!
So I will keep it too.... great job!!!
And now let's wait and see what kind of magical creatures come on out and play. ;-)
Just as magical and mystical as the prior one!! I would've cropped tighter on the left using the tree and getting rid of the other person. Sweet light array!!
you've inspired me to go find a forest, walk a certain distance inside, then turn around and look back whence I came .. or, perhaps, to travel all the way through, till I find the other edge ... to bring with me ONLY my camera .. and the courage to say "Yo! Dude! Get out of my shot" ..
er.. however they say that where you live
primo moodiness you've captured here .. composition doesn't suck either ;)
I just caught this on the front page and it's stunning. If I have one minor criticism it's just the bloke in the left of the frame. He took me right out of the wilderness!
