Oh my, what a view. When this is downloaded and seen at full screen it is awesome. The perspective you have chosen just places one like they are standing right there looking out over this beautiful scene. The composition gives off an “expansive” feeling that is marvelous. The sky is one of the better ones I have seen with it’s natural colors and all.

Thanks folks. The shot was, as .ekowalska surmises, taken around midday. I have also just posted a second image, Picos 2, which was taken immediately after this one of the scenery further to the right. The two images can be downloaded and "stitched together" for a wider panorama.

I just saw your Picos 2 and had to see this one as well. It's just as gorgeous! I can see what you meant by stitching the two together. That would certainly take my breath away, but each stands well on its own.
