Taken at the beach in the California Redwoods right as the sun was coming up. The morning mist gave me (with some touch-up) a great opportunity. Hope you enjoy it!
"I decided that it was not wisdom that enabled [poets] to write their poetry, but a kind of instinct or inspiration, such as you find in seers and prophets who deliver all their sublime messages without knowing in the least what they mean."
--Socrates (in "Apology")
MMmmmmmmmmmhhhhhhhhh this is sooooo lovely!! So soft, so full of drama and just beautiful. Those pinkish colours are fantastic. And with the tree silhouettes, well, this is perfect!! VErena
The elements here really work well together. The mist gives a softer feel, while the coloring from the sunrise gives some interest. It would be nicer (IMO) if the moon was just a little lower and to the left in the frame. This has an almost surreal feel to it!
"To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
