This was part of a carriage I stumbled upon in an alley in a small village of India... I don't know the full history of it but do know that it belonged to Tipu Sultan... The sad thing was that it was so hidden & unappreciated where it was... there was garbage surrounding it & it was filled with monkeys :) ... I'm just thankful that I got the opportunity to see this hidden gem.

Nothing wrong about monkeys - be assured.
But the garbage ! I do not like the garbage.
This is a gem, dear friend.
Even garbage cannot make a sensitive person walk by a gem with indifference.
Congratulations !!!!!!

This is a great capture of Hindu Gods, and seems to be upper part of a temple car.
Temple cars are Chariots used to carry idols of Hindu Gods. The cars are being used on festival days only.

Here, in my home state Kerala also celebrating a car festival annually.
Nadia, you have presented a wonderful image,I wonder how did you know that it is belonging to Tipu Sulthan!!?
Great work and thanks for sharing.

Hi Nadia, that warm light is fantastic and aside from the unavoidable super bright spots in direct sunlight the exposure is great. The crop and the added vignetting works with the "fringe" of straw at the top very nicely. Your photo expresses no sense of the neglect in which you found your subject - quite the opposite.
