Wonderful concept to image-express a very abstract idea. The square comp with subject dead centre produces a formal/iconic quality that suits the subject perfectly. I know the secret to why he feels safe while standing on the fire - he's wearing sandals! Tee hee. Two thoughts, the closed eyes might imply an attempt to deny what is real which would diminish the faith aspect in comparison to him looking clearly at this situation with open eyes, also, the glow thru the scarf at the waist is perfect but I would think that the underside of his arms, parallel with the ground, might reflect some of that yellow/orange light just a bit? Other than those small things the way you've merged the two images is stellar good, I'm jealous.
