I think for me giving the photos a title is harder than clicking them :) With this one I just desaturated all except the door.. & played around with the levels & contrast a little.
First off, I like the image, especially the way you have brought out the structure and textures of the stones. The use of contrast to enhance the light is also very good. I thought this would have made a good B&W image in its own right, but I tried it and it does not work well. The use of colour on the door brings it out and contrasts it, lifting the image into something special, which does not happen in the B&W image (I tried it) as, as the door is quite dark and a little dull. I should say that I love pure B&W photography and I would like to see some real B&W photography of yours, as you seem to have a talent for it.
Ooohhh..."Red Doors"...One should take heed when looking at red doors...especially mysterious looking ones like in this image post...Nice job...Labyrinth...

I agree, titles are often much harder! I like this very much. Although it is one that I can't fully express. : ) Definitely makes me wonder what is behind as well as around it. I like the textures and especially the lock and chain. Nice work!
Awesome shot Nadia. I'm thinking an even more esoteric title might work better, my thinking being that the image it's self has so much evocation and implication in it, all that texture, age, hiddeness and immutability, a title to leave that more open to work on the subconscious perhaps. Hidden Tears. Hopeless. Shroud. The Old Ways. It's fun to try to come up with one!

This photo is just dripping with pathos. I love the darkness inherent and that deep red of the door, plus the contrast, not only in the color, but the textures of the coarse stones and the smooth door. You don't have to settle for the 68 c-index I'm seeing here. Think of it more in the 80's. It certainly deserves it. Into my favorites.
Very, very intriguing, yet powerful enough to make me want to quickly run away. The fallen leaf(?) under the door seems to add even more of a mysterious feel.
Thanks for sharing!
Very fascinating picture... the colour door in the black and white photo. Gives the photo a real sense of suspense... "and what happened next?" Love it!
