Maybe I don't have my reading glasses on, but the beams appear slightly out of focus. I'm not sure what focal point you intended, it is certainly an interesting composition, but to be honest the thick heavy beams overpower the soft delicate flowers in the backround.
Angie, I like the use of a neutral colors around the subject in order to highlight them. The exposure is just what it should be. I've seen a lot of photographers capitalize on showing nice weathered wood, (but usually for the details in it). So the use of depth of field like this is an interesting experiment. Maybe, (as Rich says), there's more out-of-focus stuff than you really need to frame the subject. It looks its best when it's not blown up to full screen size. The orange flowers with green foliage does make a great subject! Thanks for sharing.
