I took this in April, 2010 at the Knecht Cup Regatta. The boats had just finished a 2k race and this was taken a few meters off the end of the finish line.
Your cropping emphasizes the horizontal lines of the image. The four shells lined up symmetrically has a nice balance. A grueling endurance sport, you captured the exhausted rowers. Although, the girls in the foreground shell look fresh, perhaps heading up to their race start. Thad
The reason why the sunsets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
Thanks! And yes luckyshot- the girls are heading up the river to their starting line, while the men have just passed through the finish, nice observation..you must be a rower!
i remember how it was in the old days
we would go outside in the grass and lay
down next to each other where we'd stay
up all night and talk to each other this way
we used to go everywhere together
doesn't matter if it was poor or fair weather
you asked me if i'd cheat i said never
i know i messed up but i'm gonna make it better
