Apophysis fractal that I had done & showed to Andrew, cgimagery, for his opinion. He sent it back & had removed some extraneous parts that consequently upped the star quality in my considered opinion. So thanks bunches Andrew ! Your the bestest !!!

The soft flow of the gradient from one color to the next and the depth, makes ya just wanna reach out and touch it, to see if it is real. It is like taking a glimps into some strange sureal place, when you don't know where reality begins and ends.

Lauren, this is one of the most powerful and best ones you've done yet in my book. From the colors, to the "depth" & motion of this, very well done. Really like the slow fades into the black background that make the background a part of this rather than simply being back there, the clear twists of the different areas as they interact with each other. Looks very much like defracted image of muscle tissue or protein - fatty acid layer. Extremely organic in appearance. Interesting.

I am not sure why this one doesn't really speak to me. I know I am somewhat the voice of, ahem, dissension here ... but for some reason there is an artificial quality to this particular flame. Obviously, this rests only with this viewer.
I can think off the top of my head, that without careful calibration of both your monitors, maybe therein lies the gist of my rub. Lol, uhm ... have I mixed enough mangled references here? I think so.
The perspective and depth is certainly visible. Hmm, maybe because this is simply a different offering from you two that it strikes me, also differently. Maybe. Maybe.
Or perhaps, a little too overworked? I can only imagine that once having been entrusted to rework anothers that that temptation may be there. Only ... only my very humble, and uninformed opinion. :oP
Still, this would garner some high marks from me for all that is good more so, than that which does not necessarily appeal to my senses and psyche. And then again, maybe I should learn to turn on the edit function on when it comes to my out loud ramblings.
Praise to you both, for taking this art in another direction. Sincerely. I do mean that. Give me some time to digest this one further. :o)

This is really interesting, not sure how to interpret it but it would seem like there is something lurking beyond the colors. the dark seems like the madness and they colors are the calm trying to escape?? I dunno something like that but I do like it. :)
