You are right on all counts. I really like it but not sure about that one line going from right to left...seems to distract a wee bit or break the composition. But then what do I know? I'm a pitcher taker.

I really like that this image reveals an aesthetic boldness. Most of your work feels original but this design feels like it was created waaaay outside the box - as though you were making a concerted effort to stretch your artistic boundries. It's a quirky, interesting combination of gestalty elements that leaves me wanting more of it's kind. Keep up the expansion!

I like the overall effect, but I agree that the one line begins to detract... maybe if you allowed it to fade transparently as it ran across the darker area?
