I posted this picture last year before I took down my images, but I wanted to post it again because, to me, it may be the best photo I have ever taken. I love the big birds, and this shot simply captures the beauty of the great egret. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do :)

I remember this one Robert, It looks frozen in time. The wings are magnificent, and the Egrets head pointed straight forward is perfect. I also like the legs dangling as it fly's across the water. Perfect wildlife photo, something I can only dream about capturing.

Well Robert ... if this is your favorite so be it ... you'll get no argument from me. What puzzles me is how you are able to select a favorite from your wonderful gallery. My problem has always been as soon as I think I've viewed your best ... damned if you don't post something even better. Let's just leave it that this is your best to date ... I impatiently await what is yet to come ... and I'm betting you won't disappoint. :o)

To me, knowing that this is your favorite picture is the best thing about this picture. It's a totally awe-inspiring shot, and you must be chuffed to bits if I'd have seen it through your lens. Congratulations!

Well, I am all out of bird photos that could possibly achieve at least a 90. Funny how last year it achieved a 93. Further proof the voting system just doesn't work.
