The self portraits gallery was really designed for members to able to share with the other members a view of themselves. Nothing wrong, per se, with your first post being a self protrait, but I would encourage you to diversify and show us your talents.

I think that both the right and left borders are distracting. A tight crop produces a much better portrait. Some blur or depth-of-field editing will also help cover the overexposed backlighting and direct the viewer's gaze to only the subject.
