Finches are so lovely. We have many varieties where I live, we have a lot of forest around on our land and they flitter around from tree to tree. I didnt know they ever stopped at a feeder long enough to get their pic taken, but glad you got this one..very sweet...verena

Precious little bird. You got him with his mouth full, too. I love that feeder. Makes me hungry looking at it. If I chirp loud enough, can I have some? Very touching capture.

Hi Linda! That looks like the female house finch, is it? I have nest of them right by my front door, so I get to see the Momma and the Poppa quite a few times every day as well as the babies. I love those little finches. They are quite friendly around here and just love the feeder. They seem to eat a lot, I guess it is because they are so busy flitting about, eh? Good capture of our friend, the house finch. Great detail and color. Thanks for sharing this with us. :~)
