1.The subject is sharp and well focused.
2. The colors looks very matching to each other.
3. Lines on the track and on the background is providing a perfect devider for colors.
4. Sence of motion is well preserved.
Phew, he must really be moving... looks as if his front wheel is off the ground. Awesome image! Nice and clear, cool reflections off the biker, very little noise... which is GREAT for a pic that musta been taken at a high ISO.
Thanks for your positive comments....I took a lot of rubbish pictures to get this one as a fairly long exposure with low ISO is needed to get a good blur effect and getting it right is more luck than judgement....the motorcyclist would have been going at about 140mph at this point on the track.....front wheel is indeed off the ground so brave rider required! (cam was Olympus C.70)
Wow! As ppl has already mentioned, this is not easy, very weel done! Nice also that the biker has pretty much the same colour scheme as the background, but more saturated. It would have been interesting to the see the same picture with different coloured bikes :)
Since this picture is all about speed, I think I'd prefer to cut the pic a bit on the right side, not much though. If you flip the picture, he seems to go faster.. :) Although the letters on the bike ruins this a bit.
Hey Pete, thanks for the comment on Solitude in Pairs and fantastic job on this! I'm glad you liked my casually taken photo but this really puts it to shame :).
I don't have much to say that hasn't already been said about this, except I was wondering if you considered sending a copy to the rider in question. It is a great portrait shot. I'm sure you could figure out who it is without TOO much trouble ;). Great job and thanks for sharing~
Kick ass what a rush he must have been having I'd be higher than any drug could ever make me feel... well shot cannot believe you got this shot @ the rate of speed he was going well done and congrats . 10++++
I have to say this shows such great speed! Cameras that can do that are wonderful arent they? Mine will do that too, but I havent done much experimenting, just a tad bit so far. Keep up the great shots!!
This is definitely your best picture. Great work. But I have to be honest - I'm only commenting because our names are incredibly close together (but it really is a good picture).
Every mammel on the planet develops a natural balance or a certain equalibrium with the world around them but we humans do not, we move to an area and we multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way we can survive is to spread to another area. There is only one other organism on this planet that follows the same pattern, a virus. Human beings in the intrest of the planet are a desiese a cancer of this eath. (Kinda makes you proud dosen't it)
Hello Pete...Great action shot....very difficult to capture this type of pic, but you have done extremely well on this one...Looking at your gallery you seem to be very keen on power sports?...I know chap who lives near me who was a champion at motorcycle drag racing...His name is Kieth Parnell...Do you know him?...All the best....Mick.
I just popped in and found this on the home page and am glad I did. How did I miss it before? A truely stunning image. You really have caught this spot on. Wonderful picture.
When I got tired of running from you
I stopped right there to catch my breath
There your words they caught my ears
You said, “I miss you son. Come home”
