This is an impressive sculpture just outside the west entrance to Glacier National Park. In the background is the result of the unfortunate Roberts lightning fire that burned into the park in August 2003.

Hey Robert! I have seen this wooden sculpture before! It must have been before the fires because I do not remember all the bare white trunks. Great shot love the eagle!

Wow! That is an amazing sculture! Very beautifully done. Too bad about the burnt forest behind....nature has a very different timetable than we do....one day it will be magnificent and green again. For now, I think there is a certain beauty to what is left behind a fire like that too.
