Denali, Alaska, USA - July 2011. In August, I posted an image of Rocky, after he found a mushroom and carried it to a tree branch and munched on it there. I reworked it with cropping and different post-photo work. Enjoy! Post note: The squirrel is eating some fungi, which, along with spruce cones, is the staple of its diet.

Definite improvement. Rocky comes in much clearer and I like how it is wider now. Great post work.

Outstanding color, light, and clarity, Thad. Some of the branches have a 3D look. Beautifully done.

He's plotting something, Thad. Those beady little eyes watching you and rubbing his grubby little paws together like that. A definite sign that he's up to no good. Now might be a good time to run and hide.
A good rework job on your furry little friend. The colours seem more natural in this version and the details more fuller.

This is really high impact, Thad. Also a good example of when near central subject positioning is exceptionally well supported with secondary subject material.

What cute close up of this little critter nibbling away. I liked how you used the green pine needles as a frame Thad!

Most squirrel photos I've seen here at Caedes, including mine, show them in a crouch or position where they are ready to run if we so much as blink, timid creatures that they are. The way you've captured this one, comfortable within his cocoon of pine boughs, munching happily away, is so natural. We get to see him the way he is when we're not around. Excellent composition and bokeh.
