Built in 1892, the truss bridge was one lane wide, with a wood deck - was in use for 100 years. With a replacement bridge built a few hundred feet to the north, this old bridge over the Farmington River was kept for pedestrian use. Each year, people and organizations pay to plant and maintain one of the many flower boxes and hanging baskets. A recent, sunny-day visit to this bridge, followed by a nice lunch on the patio of a nearby restaurant, produced a few photos.
