Charlottesville, Virginia, USA. Archaeological research on Mulberry Row on the grounds of Monticello brought forth information about the slave quarters that existed there. One, to serve as a model, has been reconstructed, photographed from the vegetable garden.

This does look very surprisingly sturdy albeit quite small - the lower angle of the photographer worked well to highlight this Thad.

Just imagine how hot in the summer and how cold in the winter a shack like that one would be. What a horrible period in our history.
