Everglades National Park, Florida, USA. With the changing tide, this cormorant perched on a channel pillar, quietly and patiently waiting for a mid-afternoon snack to swim by.
Great portrait of the cormorant Thad - he looks like an experienced fisherman and with patience, I'm quite certain he got the catch of the day - Great Capture!!!:-):-):-)
Thad, it's always alert because of starving permanently. I was told the amount of the consumed fish daily: about 1 kilogram (2.2 lbs). Almost unbelievable. Good 'portrait' of this hungry fisherman.

Perfect lighting on the face, bill, and feathers to bring out beautiful detail. And I love those toes curled ever so slightly over the edge of the post.
