Naples, Florida, USA. Taken a few minutes before the sun began to descend below the clouds, it was very serene on the beach. The water was very calm. The departing clouds, ending a cool front, led to almost no breeze. Stand with me and enjoy the flight of the pelicans. (33 mm, 1/160 sec, f/9, ISO 125)

Moody and relaxing all in one Thad.
I am trying to enjoy the flight of the pelicans but the tune of flight of the bumblebees keeps ringing in my head.

Oh... I'm there, man, I'm there. And this is definitely going into my desktop wallpapers file. A five-star submission, to be sure. Every check-off of technical skill and image quality is here. Danke, obrigado, merci, salamat po, domo arigato... My son and his family live in Gulfport, MS, so they sometimes get views like this. With a copy of your photo on my screen, it will be like I'm hanging out with them.

That bird is surprisingly sharp.

Maybe not (surprisingly, that is).. just an observation, as I did zoom in for a closer look as I was curious.

Nicely done, sir.

+favs for me.

Composition is strong. And you and your camera handled the technical considerations of exposure, et al.. well.

Thanks for sharing this one with us, Thad.

A very good shot of the pier, the calm sea and the threatening clouds Thad. Moody due to the darkness from the clouds.

Beautiful, but ominous looking. Great composition though.

Moodiness all around Thad!

Excellent, and very well timed, shot.

A 'keeper' for me, so S+F! Thanks, my friend!

Difficult lighting expertly controlled. It is a picture to look at again and again )

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
