Sedona, Arizona, USA. Everywhere you look in Sedona provides a view of beautiful red rocks. The greenery on the slopes of this rock formation are trees, which provides a sense of scale. Sedimentary rock, it varies in density by levels, as they are the result of millions of years of flooding and receding of seas.

Nature's "designs" are often so wonderful. This looks like the ruins of a very old fortress. Good shot Thad.

Beautiful Thad, the clarity and focus are right on, well composed, and great natural looking color. tigs=^..^

I'm surprised this formation doesn't have a name Thad. Most of them do. Let's call it "Watchout Mountain." It appears to be staring at us. Beautiful.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
