Cromwell, Connecticut, USA. Some echinacea blooms were shy, choosing to hide behind the fence and ornamental grass. Happy Friday!

They are shy but a nice capture of them with the grasses - says summer to me.

Beautiful capture with the grass stalks "protecting" the flowers.

Thad, referring to you your narrative, think that these shy 'foofs' are playing 'peek a boo'. If so, their attempt wasn't successful because their beauty has revealed their presence, ☺ .
Good one for Foofy Friday, my friend!

Now this is a very different take on the classic cone flower photo. I do like the creativity displayed and the title you've chosen, Thad. Very nice indeed. What's as nice as that is the fact that everything in here is in crisp focus, illustrating a proper use of DOF. Two thumbs up... bd.
