I took this photo at my uncles house in Pittsfield MA. I am hoping to get some more nice photos like it. Al thought at this time i cant think of what kind of tree it came from.
I like the title you've chosen. This is a beautiful flower and dark green leaves. I think the composition could be improved by placing the flower a bit more toward the lower right hand corner. :)
Good effort. As already noted in other comments, the focus should ideally be pinpointed to the flower itself. I think it is sharpest around the leaf to the top right of the flower. The background is abit distracting as it's not very uniform. If you are using a DSLR then you could focus on the flower and have a very low depth of field (use a big aperture i.e. small F number as possible) to make the background into an indistinguishable blur.

The focus appears to be better on the right side leaves than on the flower.
