not really mean....but defintely spiteful when it came to sitting still long enough to get a perfect capture. Did the best I could without my tripod..../ hope you enjoy.
Mean green flying machine ;) Very well caught Terri with clarity and great composition. Like the faded background, it shows him off so well. Well done.
Can't always give individual thanks but I am so appreciative of everyone's comments and input. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita

lol hes almost the colour of a kawasaki! i have never seen one of these actually still!
I had one in my kitchen once, it took the neighbours husband to come and rescue me and he was scared! (and it was dead on the floor already)! Nice pic, you did well to get him!

Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)
Really fantastic image, Terri. The soft background does nothing but enhance the central image even more. Fabulous color that really makes him pop out at you. Kudos.
Terri I think this capture could be in any biology text book
it is A W S O M E ! ! ! Incredible color and detail
Extremly Well Done !!! Thanks for sharing, Don
That is super. Love that green. I have seen this insect many colors but never this pattern. Who needs a tripod. It's well focused as is. Stunning capture.

Picture Purrrfect .
A purrrfect world is what we all want, but, seems too unobtainable. If I've viewed and commented on your post, and you liked my remarks then NO THANKS is needed...just getting to see your wonderful work is thanks enough for me!!
Also BIG thanks to all who check out my work!! I appreciate any and all comments & feedback!!
That is one smart looking outfit that 'fly is wearing. Nice crisp shot ..and not a MACRO. I see its 300mm . pretty cool .. is it an image stabilized lens or did you count on the 1/500 shutter speed?

Good closeup Terri ... hand held? ... make that a GREAT closeup ... Never knew dragonflies came in designer colors ... I do now thanks to your wonderful clear shot.
i zoomed in...and held the camera best as I could...and kinda braced it / leveled it against upper part/left hand. I shot maybe 10 shots...and surprisingly...8 out of ten were not too bad. I do have bad hand problems...and normally when i do a dragonfly...none are worthy. I need a stabilizer and plan on getting one next time I am set to spend a few bucks...:)
Thanks for commenting! Terri/MM

Hi Terri, only just got around to having a good look at your gallery and this one lept out at me! Of course I'm biased as Dragonflies are my fave subject [see my website!] but this is gorgeous. Not having visited the States [yet] I'm not too familiar with your species. But this little beauty was easy to ID. It's a superb female Eastern Pondhawk [Erythemis simplicicollis]. The male is a lovely pale, powdery blue. I'm impressed at this capture - believe me I know how long it can take to get good and close for a decent image. It's a wonder my feet haven't started to get damp rot;o)
Well done, this one's safely in my faves.
Cheers,
Steve.
