That is absolutely stunning Terri!! A marvelific capture of this grand bird!! I bet you feel just as proud as he does!! Perfect overall comp and color control!!
Fantastic capture Terri. Headed for my favorites. That stare ... the puffed up feathers appearing as a "robe" ... puts me in mind of a judge about to render judgement upon your appearance before his "bench". Hope he's not a "Hanging Judge".

Oh Terri, what a fabulous capture!! You must have been so excited to get this out of your camera and uploaded here. Not only a good capture, but a great photo too. The clarity and color is tops. Well done!
Superb capture Terri and I understand something of your underlying thoughts on the eye contact and brief moment of relating between you and he that you felt...to think of the heighths he has soared and things he has seen but in that moment it was just you that he focused on...well, what a feeling...good work...your patience paid off handsomely...favs and thanks for sharing the image and experience.:Pat.
Terrific, Terry! He looks like he's saying in a paternal manner, "Yes, my dear, and what is it you want from me?" Wondrous bird. I see why he's the national bird.

oh ... when I saw the image name in my friends-list I thought it was going to be an aging Don Henley or Glen Frey ... judging by your 70's rock musician fetish
(*sigh*) ... I guess I'll settle for wildlife .. good thing it's an excellent shot, since I have to settle

Yikers Terri! How close were you to this gorgeous eagle? This photo could be in "National Geographic"magazine - it's true quality. Wonderful composing, clarity and details. His elegant face is marvelous, such a stare. Beautiful coat of feathers, and what claws! A definate keep for me. Many thanks for sharing this wonderful creature :*>
