OTTERS! Yes...as described in my last alligator shot, my alligator girl was watching these two VERY mischevious otters play right in front of her. This was my very first time to ever see, much less snap a shot of WILD OTTERS playing! So I was very excited and though shot not perfect, I am thrilled just to have seen them wild, playing nearby. And never fear...these babies are FAST....this gator is fast, but not fast as they are...so maybe it was only me who had anything to worry about yesterday....:)

That would be quite a sight to see. I'm glad you captured it for us to see. You can see their faces very well in this. Good job, Terri.

Oh wow Terri! Now you've got me really jealous. Otters are one of my all time favourite mammals but I've only ever had one single very brief glimpse of one in the wild. I didn't even know you had them in the glades. Do you know if they are the same species we get in Europe? Great spur of the moment capture.
Cheers,
Steve.

That's so cool... I didn't know there are otters in Fla. Are they native to the area? We have Beavers here in Southern California, but they are non natives.

Wonderful! We have them here in Northeast Florida too and a friend who lives near the beach has a canal in his backyard - we have watched a mother otter with 2 kits before and we were so engrossed watching we never thought to go get the cameras!!!!
I'm glad there are people like you out there who keep their priorities straight!
Thanks!
