This plump Cooper's Hawk was on a lamp post as I drove home from watching my niece's soccer game today! He/she was VERY willing to sit pretty and allow me to snap some shots. Be kind...I didn't use my tripod. My photo is DIGIMARC'd....{ beware photo theives} .

one time, I spotted a hawk on a telephone pole in Colorado .. parked my motorcycle on the side of the road and walked back to it .. as I approached, it flew down to the next pole .. I walked further, it flew to the next pole after that

after a while my motorcycle was just a spot on the horizon, and I had no shot of the hawk
