I'm not sure exactly how to comment on this posting; so I'll just go where the keyboard takes me. Firstly I'm amazed what PhotoShop can do. I'll have to buy me some of that. That being said, the photo itself is fatally flawed. I think the dark background merges with Mary's skirt. The white sky is overexposed and is burning out some of the smaller branches. The colors are washed out including what should be a dazzling red balloon.

Hello Maggie....You have a very good imagination to produce a piece like this...The picture you used to super impose your subject on is very busy and distracting to the eye...A picture with plenty of sky would help to make your subject stand out in the frame....Saying that your work in photoshop is very good....well done...All the best to you Maggie...................................................Mick.

What I like about this picture: The lighting is correct, coming from the left both in the background and on the superimposed person. Also, her feet do not convey the impression she was standing on the ground for the photo. Maybe she was lying down, huh? Anyway, deft composition there. And the lines around the figure are not crisp, which would only heighten an artificial look to superimposing. You softened them nicely to build realism.

What I don't particularly like: The background is busy with branches, generally dark and gray, and adds little or no interest to the photo. If you could have captured an elevated view of a residential area including much sky you would have increased the magic quite a bit.

The actual Photoshop craftsmanship is quite good.
