This is another shot I took of the pond behind Magnolia Hall in summer, without the fence. I hope you like it. All comments welcome.

I prefer this one to the one with the fence. A nice composition.The verdant green and reflections in the pond make a very peaceful and beautiful image Lesley. I feel I am right there enjoying the view :)

Looking at this, you can almost feel the warm sun on your back! We have sun here but it's icy cold, so I wish I was where you are.
I compared this image of yours to Preview of Summer and you know what, I prefer it with the fence. It's quite a nice, honest fence and adds something to the scene. If this was an oil painting, you can imagine the fence being included. Perhaps it could be at less of an angle though, so that it's not coming so much into the foreground at the left hand side.
But they are nice summery shots, both of them. :-)

i like this with the fence in the corner of the shot. kind of adds to the distance or feel for it in the shot. really good reflections which i love! is that a boat house or pump shed? seems to have been built that way...how cool is that!
