Ohio after the recent ice storm. You can see the tree coated in ice in the larger views. I might have had better shots, but being without power for 5 days didn't inspire me to shoot until the power returned. I'm not much for playing the suffering artist.

This would actually make (IMO) a perfect entry in the new contest. Great setup of the lone tree in the barren, snowy field.

Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.
I really like this.. the various shades of blue makes you feel cold just looking at it.. good capture of light and shadows..
When I saw the thumbnail in the new gallery I thought the same as Rob.. this would make a great image for the negative space contest..

i really like this, i love how desolate it looks. however i wish that you would have zoomed out more or stepped back a bit to include more of a grand scene. really like the way the sun is reflecting off of the ice on the tree too. I am at the University of Kentucky so I experienced the ice storm too, luckily kept power though. It sure was crazy..anyways, very nice shot, good eye.

I like the one small lone frosty tree with the sliced shades of blue and white in the back ground...very eye catching and pretty!
