I still have 403 pictures from my trip to Bison Ranch, Arizona last year that no one has seen. On clear days in the Petrified Forest National Park and The Painted Desert AZ you can see for a 100 miles. The Painted Desert derives its name for the multitude of colors ranging from lavenders to shades of gray with vibrant colors of red, orange and pink. It is a long expanse of badland hills and buttes and although barren and austere, it is a beautiful landscape of a rainbow of colors. The Painted Desert is famously known for its bright red rocks that are especially beautiful when it turns into shades of violet, blue, and red at sunset or sunrise. Many hardened sand dunes are found in the desert, Thank you for looking and I always enjoy reading your comements

Diane - As barren and inhospitable as the land looks, there is beauty in it. You have brought that out in your photo. Thad

Sounds to me like you had better open a Flickr account. You can post a mess a pictures at a time there. That a way we can see them all. Gorgeous place and shot, Diane. With all your travels, you should get a job with NatGeo.

An account at pbase would be ideal for you Diane. You can keep a set amount on there for free, or buy an account with tons of storage, and there is no garbage to deal with there, as is the case with most photo sites, such as photobucket, flikr, etc.
