Another one of my early morning pictures in Colorado. I don't do much of anything to my pictures such as photo shop, HDR, manipulate or anything else special. You pretty much see photo's as I took them no fancy smachy stuff for me I am a pretty down to earth girl... Now I feel like I am falling far far behind from everyone else and feel like I am stuck in the weeds. But I am enjoying all these wonderful and outstanding photo's I am seeing on Caedes

I love that mist rising off the water, and the clouds hanging on the mountains. Very cool shot, Diane.

It is not a gloomy photo Diane. It is nature shown as it is and it is lovely. You had no choice here except to face the bright light up above.

Very moody, and well captured, Diane if you do not do much postwork, than you have your camera settings set very good, and that can be hard to do, your not behind at all, your ahead of the game. Tigs♥ =^..^=

I like it just as is, to me it's a phenomenal image. I have a friend that will agree with you about working with a shot, he believes you have to get the shot on the camera, that's it. I'd be in trouble if I believed that. This however is a fantastic photo in my opinion.

Hi, Diane....

Ah, the wonders of Mother Nature captured with no editing. Who woulda thunk it? We get the same weather patterns here that you have in your photo with the fog rolling over the hills and the mist on the lake. Personally I have a hard time with the lighting when the fog is rolling over the mountains above my house, but this is a beauty of a shot. On my camera I have a setting in between macro and action labeled "perfect". That must be where you have your camera set.

With that clouds spilling down the peaks that mountain looks like a giant wave coming on the land. Very interesting and beautiful photo, Diane.

I missed one! I am unsure what it says about me but I enjoy a well captured gloomy image very much. Love the varied blue tones and mist. Saved to stare at longer.

I think it is the artist choice how they choose to present their images. My thoughts went in about four different directions thinking of your narrative. lol Firstly, it takes a nice quality, well composed image to start with. : )
