I saw this work of art in the American Indian Section and I was entranced. I adore everything about the Southwest Four Corners Region of the USA. This is for my OBF who is as crazy about Southwest Indian art, jewelery, carpets, pottery and lifestyle as I am at the Denver Art Museum. I went there on Free first Saturday of the Month. I am not rich so I always search for free anything before I travel to a destination.... Hugs to all! Diane Oh yes... the museum said I could take pic's for my own personal use

Nice art work and a nice photo. The area you are talking about is quite familiar to me. I used to work there. The story of the Anasazi is very interesting, including the fact that they 'disappeared' without a trace, much like their relatives in Mexico.

Diane - And, for all these years I thought the Mesa Verde ruins were large, carved into a cliff! ;-) Excellent capture of this sculpture. Thad

If I could tell the story in words, I wouldn't need to lug around a camera. ~Lewis Hine The Earth without art is just 'eh'.

A fine sculpture and taken in a good spot lighted place. Museums are great and my son is an aficianado of native tribes down into S. America too. Amazing dwellings they constructed.
