I brought to all of you a white spring today! These little crocuses don't have longevity on their side. They appear one day and soon after are gone. Their visits are brief, so we must enjoy them while we can!!
You have captured for infinity that which only lasts for a short time. This is a nice clear shot and framed well. hmm I need to use that as a tag line.
I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings:
And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill.
That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes.
We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not.
Yet so the universe was wrought .
Thought is another name for fate.
Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
dear marilyn, what a marvellous shot! brilliant lightning on this one makes the soft gentle petals even more beautiful.. nice play on the light & shadows here :)
i like the way you named this one.. crocuses are beautiful flowers and certainly deserve this honoured title :) an excellent macro shot, i'm impressed..
again, you've enhanced my spring spirit and made me happier.. how do you do that?! :)
thank you!!! and please, have the nicest day :) enjoy :o)
Paper-white crocuses. Is that what they are called? A great job of capturing them while they are at their peak, which as you stated, isn't very long. Well done. :)
Excellent shot. I like crocuses myself, but they bloom for such a short duration :(. I have a few shots as well of the purple variety, here, here, and here. They're not quite as nice as yours, but you get the general idea.
The rest of your flower shots are beautiful as well, by the way :)
Thanks from all of us for longer as a day we hope ! The little crocuses are beautiful and we enjoy all your flower pictures while we can!! For this crocus its pure and nice. Greetings.
A lovely image Marilyn, I always thiink that crocus knock on the door of Springtime and actually herald one of nature's wonders. Soft white petals with a 'heart of gold' , a touch of sun, well framed, great macro shot as well as being beautiful. Into my favs.....
Gorgeous and pure.
