Love the roses stuck in your basket with the leaves. Do you happen to have one of those wide baskets for cut flowers from the garden ?? With leaves & flowers in that, that would be such a country look, maybe mums ?? Anyway, this is very pretty & very artistic, thanx for sharing !! : )

Those roses are still drop-dead gorgeous Marilyn. The leaves are beautiful autum leaves witht he rich, vibrant colors. I like the visibility of the basket a bit more. It adds 'character' tot the image :)) Well done my friend!

I think you are onto something here ... I really like the play with the shadows combined with the absolutely gorgeous colours as a thematic forerunner to the idea of fall. (Hmm, trying say that fast twice, lol.)

This is definitely an idea worth revisiting. As much as I like this image, I think you managed to suggest 'more' with this one. Well ... what are you waiting for?

Kidding a little. I am wondering how the placement of the roses in the right hand side and the shadow cast across left side to right would look. Or ... leave the light as is, and just change the positioning of the roses? I am not sure. But, conceptually, ohhh ... this just begs more ... and more ...

Really great idea. And having read some of your own commentary, as great as you are in the garden, you obviously have an 'eye.' I hope to see you using it and stepping out of your comfort zone.

Thanks again, for sharing.

A basket of colour, of light and shade, of roses and fallen leaves against a background of bright yellow, it is very artistic and quite beautiful Marilyn, another 'favourites'. The title is excellent too!

What a lovely picture. I love the colour combinations, and everything in a basket makes it so nice to look at. Fresh and vibrant. I love it.

Mark,

A one million and one half thank yous again! Are you having your Sat. PM 'tottie', as you Englishmen call it? :o/ LOL! You must be, because you have waltzed through my gallery (it is night time in England, eh?)!. Another mate told me that you are six hrs ahead of New York time! Am I remembering right?

At any rate Mark, thank you deeply for all your comments tonight, and for the many others you have sent my way. You are a good friend, with a terrific sense of humor, which I adore. Enjoy your weekend M8.

See ya tomorrow,

Marilyn
