In the forest, I discovered a quiet look at a winter river! I think more snow would have lended it's interest, but I wanted this shot so I relinquished my desires while smiling! It was a very peaceful place to be, while enjoying the clean, fresh, and stimulating air!! Maybe the next time I return, I might float a few dozen roses down the ripples for color! Smiling! Please view with full screen! Thank you, Marilyn

Marilyn..this is so pretty and serene. What a wonderful find, the color of the water does reflect silver and the dark trees with the faint snow layed all around really creates a wonderful scenery here. Two thumbs up from me, terrific work!!

Wow. This is really pretty Marilyn! I like the snow lying on top of the ice. It does give it a silver look. It looks alot like the stream in the woods i live in. Wonderful shot!

Quite a bit different from your flower shots, Marilyn, but a lovely photo nevertheless. I like how the light and dark has divided the picture into two sections to explore. Although winter, the colors are basically warm and inviting. Nice work.

An amazing capture Marilyn. I love all those muted tones in this, those varying shades of gray & silver are exceptionally attractive. A nice departure from your usual flowers, perhaps this is a more basic type of bloom ? Nice job !

Hi Marilyn. I think the key to the beauty of this shot is the colors. They are very much in harmony with each other and create a gloomy yet attractive seeing. And the water look very cold too among those snow.

Absolutely lovely, my dear friend. The colour is fantastic..so soft, so tender. I can almost feel the cold in a very invigorating way...and the sound of that water must have been gentle as well. Where I am moving to I will have a stream...I can hardly wait for Spring to begin so I can feel the warmth and the peace. You have posted a very beautiful scene Marilyn...and yes yes yes please DO float the roses(if you can afford them)..or you could try just about any flower that is available this time of the year...I will look forward to seeing that photo very soon !!..verena

The absence of snow doesn't take away from the beauty you've captured...a great job on this, Marilyn...one can almost smell the fresh air from here...love that silver sheen on the water...and by the way, I like the sound of those floating roses.:Pat.

What a delightful looking place this is Marilyn! Is that ice on the he water or just the reflections? I think the born of the trees adds color and depth to this image. The silvery sheen on the water is quite unique and I can certainly understand your desire to shoot while you were there. I think you did the right thing :) This is a warm winter image...it reminds me of those days when you know spring is so close and you don't mind being out in the weather..you can almost smell spring in the air.....well done my friend!
Thanks you for visiting ~is it spring~? ..that is my hope bouquet.....hoping that spring is as close as next week..wrong,but I am enjoying the colors and the fragrance and everything else that goes with those days of spring that we love so much. I am glad that you got to share my flowers and enjoy them too! Your support, comments. critique are always welcomed. Stop by anytime, The gallery door is always open and the coffee on :~)

G'day MJ,

done well and different, I'll bet your poor camera lens was searching for the flowers? We have had such a mild winter here, this is completely foreign to me, what's all the white stuff?
