I took a few hrs off yesterday just to find a winter shot, and this is one of them! Oh, how I wished the field yeilded red tulips instead! Smiling. What fun that would be! Please enjoy, thank you, Marilyn
I understand that frustration, since I also have more than enough of the winter. But you have to admitt, that this sky is so wonderful, that you have to forgive the winter a bit. Great job.
I took one similar to this earlier this winter Marilyn, but I didnt get that great looking sky like you did! I second the motion on the red tulips too! Nice shot Ms. Jane!

Oh Marilyn, this is so much like one of my photo shot in my little area when we had snow. And I LOVE love love this photo of YOURS!!! You know me, I love the drama in the skies...and then to add the evergreens and the snow and the perspective of the field..well, it just can be much better than this my friend!! It's so nice you are wandering a bit from your flower photos, isn't it such fun??!! The flowers will return, but you are venturing out and that is pretty special my friend!!! See? even corn stubble can look
beautiful !! Verena
what a cool shot, great capture of just a cornfield, really like the symmetry of the rows of broken down stalks, great blending of the blues in the sky, thank you for sharing
What a nice contrast between sunlit and snowcovered field and the ominous sky. This is what makes this photo so original. No tulips needed in this case, lol. Would like to find it in my voting booth.
Marilyn - this looks like it was taken in my backyard. If it was, may I advise you to watch where you step. Lots of dogs and cats roaming thru there. Great complimentary colors winter provides. If this were a field of tulips, my advice would be the same, watch where you. . . .opps to late. Great picture. Do more please.
While trying to create good pictures, I feel as if I am standing on the edge of Insanity. There is a door. I found myself knocking on the door. The door opened.. . . I was knocking from the inside. Oh Rats!
Well shucks, we can't look at red tulips all the time. I like to look at snow too. The sky is beautiful and the snow is exposed quite well. Excellent job.

Red tulips are lovely, but this winter scene has beauty too. Interesting view of this large used cornfield - The rows are pretty with the addition of snow. Beautiful threatening sky with those heavy clouds. Very nice job my flower lady :)
As a departure from your usual ... this is a welcomed visual treat. :o)
The contrasts in colours, as echoed above, is a standout element. Add in the perspective and symmetry of the corn rows ... very nice.
Don't know if you are willing to risk what oksyl is referring to :oP ... however, I would be interested in seeing this one again from a lower perspective. Just a thought.
As one cannot overlook that ... well, to me, it is majestic ... powerful ... sky. Adds some great drama to your photo here and some great depth to the shot.
Your 'eye' at work has produced another memorable image. Well done and but of course ... thank you for sharing. :o)
A picture of two halves, the blandness of the furrowed field with the wonderful threatening sky makes a shot that is powerful and dramatic, very well captured, great contrasts!!
Hello Marilyn...It is just after 4.53 in the morning and I have been brousing your gallery and came across this lovely simple winter scene....Winter is a great time to take photographs. The skies are crisp and blue, and in areas of the country where there's snow, a whole world of possibilities open up for the photographer.....You have photographed the gentle blankets of snow left on the field after a blizzard and cleverly used the lines in the field to draw one's eye into the picture...Marilyn this picture is a pleasure to view...Well done...All the best...Mick.
