My beautiful 'dahlia' shed but only one 'tear', and now is free to render happiness to all....:o) These prior words, symbolize that of a personal experience, for which I have recently been a harborer of! Things are much better.....and improving daily! Yeah........we are off to see the 'Wizard'........:o)) Look out John, here we come....about to invade your forest of 'OZ'.....:oP. Kind of silly, but fun. Marilyn

The colours and contrasts in this image is wonderful Marilyn..The sweet tones of pink blush against the greenery behind it, make this a lovely presentation!..Sunlight flickering and deep shadows, make this well worth my effort to download to my desktop!...Beautiful post my dear!

Very very new to this, and only have a bog standard fuji 2mb digi camera.

I started making pictures round about march 2006 and then stopped in feb 2007 because I sold my camera to Harm Gunnink who is also a member. I'am now saving money for the sony alhpa a100.

P.S. is it maybe possible if you have time to also give suggestion on how to improove my pictures but compliments are also good!

Ya know ... and this is somewhat topical ... curious as to what impact a wide screen presentation, or 16:9 as opposed to the standard camera 4:3 mode ... would have on an image such as your visual offering here.
Your composition is very good. The pops of colour in the background providing the colour balance in the overall presentation.
Make no mistake about my words here ... noticing the one bud that is nestled against the focal bloom ... lead me to the suggestion above, perhaps for future shots then. Just some thoughts.
As always ... radiant and vivid colours. Great natural saturation, truly a visual salve for the viewer. :o)
Here's to this image marking a step forward for you ... and in a beautiful way indeed.
