Hi friends... I am thinking... that maybe these ducks could be ruminating over 'her' unkempt house keeping...orrrrrrrrr...they could be debating the 'politics' of the day...like everyone else is doing...Lol!! Please enjoy... Marilyn

Beautiful photo Marilyn. Great framing and detail to your subjects.

These ducks luck to be mallards though, I may of course be wrong in that. Mallards have an interesting characteristic in that the female is the one who you can hear when you hear the quacking, the male's voice is to low to hear unless you are within a few feet of them. Think about that the next time you see Mallards and hear them making a racket.

I just thought I would share that fact. I raised them for years some time ago.

Great capture Marilyn, and love your narrative.

I think perhaps though the two colourful Mr Mallards may be considering Lady Mallard - feathers might fly ! :)

Looks like she can't decide which fellow to go with. Do you have any cheese for these quakers? A good capture of the lovely birds.

Hello Marilyn....Mabey one duck said to the other,"what time did you get up"and he said,"at the quack of dawn".....In this picture you have captured the beautiful iridescent colouration of these beautiful ducks....The lovely plumage of rust coloured to gray makes this picture a pleasure to view....Well done Marilyn...All the best to you....Mick.

While living in Louisiana Cajun country, I saw a lot of Mallards..but even tho the heads of these look like it, their body colour seems to be a bit off. Too grayishblooish...but maybe they are a variety of Mallards. EIther way, they are just lovely..and yes, they do seem to be arguing s to who will win over the lady duckie. She actually looks as she is smiling!!...heehee...and wouldn't we all if we had two good lookin' guys interested in us!! :) I love the bright little feet the guys have too. Marily, you got a most lovely photo here, very enjoyable to look at and ponder on. A bit different for you...the duckies...nice nice photo. Hugs to ya. Verena
