Please remember folks...that the unwanted scars on the stems... are left by the fallen lillies...this is the end of the season for my lillies...anyway! ;o( However...I remember Michael -Photoimagery- once told me..."Not everything in a photo... needs fixing"...Whew!! Came pretty close... Please enjoy... Marilyn

Well, Marilyn if this image isn't perfect it's mighty darn close.
I really like this one as the colors and contrast really go together to make a real eye grabber of an image.

This is a wonderful honey...your favourite colour too!...Lovely play on the light reaching through the petals!

She may have the scars, but each one represents one petal that she nutured till it was time for the petal to leave, so that makes her scars precious rather than an imperfection. A beautiful shot my dear friend xxxx

My Stars, Marilyn, you've really gone where no man has gone before...and it's a good thing, because this was a job for a woman.

*fields rotten tomatoes thrown at me!*

Just beautiful, my dear. You definitely have a special relationship with flowers, and it certainly shows here.

We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"

Hi Marilyn,

I've enjoyed looking through your wonderful gallery and your taste for tight-cropping and bold colors is very appealing. The work brings out the vibrant, but still natural, color of the flora & fauna you shoot. It's a very lovely gallery.

By the way, you might think about getting a ring flash for shots like this. There's a huge amount of color in this blossom that's covered by shadow and it would knock your socks off illuminated by the strobe. I dial mine way down & underexpose for maximum color, taking care not to clip any of the RGB channels. You can keep some shadowing and still have a mind-blowingly colorful shot. That's my 2 cents anyway.
