Great job Darryl. I like this one much better. Also the purlplish colour you chose for the sky is appropriate as the flower on the thistle when matured would be purple. Well done Cheers Al.
Truly a great improvement, Darryl, and your choice of sky was excellent -- enough color to enhance the image but not so much it detracts from the thistle. High marks and kudos. :)
I agree with the others. Did you see my shot Macrovision? That is what the thistle looks like when just starting to bloom? Who would have known eh?

I am unfamiliar with previous versions of this, but holy crapola, dude! Is this an edit of a single photo or a composite? Not like it matters, though, superb image!
Thank you all for the great comments and support and most of all good critique. I used a shot that I took about 10 minutes prior to this one of the purplish sky. I then did some layer blending and masking to hide parts of the blending that would not cooperate:-)

Wonderful work, the colors are awsom. Man o' man, you do excellent work. On every picture that I have come across. What wonderful talent you have and I am so glad that you are willing to share it :)
Darryl,
I luv the thistle, it's captured perfectly. But Darryl...the barn, the barn...did you see the barn behind the thistle? Go phtograph the barn Darryl. Hurry....run...
I feel like I am fading. I've lost the Holy Ground. Maybe there's a chance, that the lost will be found.
If you saw a possum on the side of the road, would you too?
