I'm really into goth rock and new wave. My favorite band is The Birthday Massacre. The guy in my avatar is, in fact, a guy. His name is Mana from the band Malice Mizer.
I had to load this up in my image viewer to really appreciate it without all the usual screen clutter. Very nice photo, 10 out of 10 from me. I especially like the touch that the spider web gives it.
You certainly have imrpoved the image of the lowly mushroom since I have been around! I have never viewed them as beautiful before ..LOL. What an enchanting image this is......the tent is pitched in the middle of the forest floor for all the garden fairies to gather under in case of rain or just to get some beauty sleep. And the best part is, they don't have to worry about their tent in the breeze. It is reinforced! Does it get any better than this? I think not! A straight 10 and into my fav's :))
This shot really works well. The in-focus group has a nice balance of shapes and colors and the mushroom seems to rise effortlessly from them. Background is pleasing and doesn't distract (I like the large, dark area and how it moves diagonally) and the detail in the spider threads is wonderfully delicate.
This is another excellent mushroom shot. I love the cladonia to the left straining to reach the 'shroom, almost like it's wishing it could be like the mushroom...but maybe I'm reading too much into it. Thanks for this!
Superb image. It is almost dream-like. I feel that if I look closely enough I would be able to see one of the "wee" people guarding their pot of gold. That is their "watch spider" I'll bet. !:0) Good image I gave it a 10.

this is fantastic, the dark mushroom in the bottom right slightly bothers me, but it isnt really a big deal. the webs are amazing, and its great you one is sharp, and the 2 others get out of focus gradually. i dont know if it would have been possible to keep that, as well as remove the mushroom at the same time, while keepign the nice angle on the mushroom. mind if i ask what lens you used for this? (and did you get the 17-85kit with the 20d?)
Hi Darryl; I'm back in town for a few days and it's nice to see old friends still doing REALLY good things.
Top of the foodchain my friend. 10 and in favorites for me. Also on my laptop screen.
This is an awesom shot Darryl. Such great clarity in this image, also nice capture of the little spider and her strands of web. Great detail in this. Lovely work :)
