Usually just vote without commenting....but this one was too awesome for my normal routine. Not merely excellent, Darryl -- one of your very best IMHO.
This is a once is a life time! Absolutely poster perfect. It looks like you captured a moss covered monkey at the right hand side. Gratulations, wished I could have been there...
VERY pretty. I love the contrast layers created by shadow and direct light. The depth of field seems unusually high to me. Was this planned? It looks wondeful! On the other hand, the water looks a bit fuzzy to me. Did you enlarge it a great deal? All encompasing, I would have to say mazeltoff (notice I said say, not spell). :-D
But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile.
Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.
This is a fantastic image! Benson creek should be set aside as a national spot of beauty, I am always drawn in to an image that uses an arch as a part of it's composition. You have used it perfectly. Everything about this image is beyond our grading system a +10 can not rate this image high enough. Good luck with the votes. Hope that you hit 100!.

Photography is not a trade - it is an art. It is more that an art.

Another one of your superb Jurrasic images from the prehistoric forest.Love the framing D. but how did you get that leaf up there without a ladder?

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings:
And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill.
That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes.
We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not.
Yet so the universe was wrought .
Thought is another name for fate.
Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
Hello Darryl, May I suffice it to say, in a word, MAGNIFICENT, SPLENDROUS! You don't need it, but I gave you the highest marks ever! I really am fascinated by this image! Sincerely, Marilyn
There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is a society, where none intrudes,
By the deep Sea, and music in its roar,
I love not man less, but Nature more

Like something out of a fairy tale...and beautifully captured...I could get lost in your fantastic gallery...here is just one spot I could stay indefinitely....:Pat.
Give me a flute and I will toot a nice fairy song. Vancouver Island is one of the most magical places in the world. You are very lucky to live there. Being a fellow Canadian (Manitoba) I know that there are few places in the world as wide and lovely as Canada. I've lived on both coasts (don't ask why I live in the coldest province now) and am stirred by the beauty that exists. Lovely photo, you really captured a great little spot here. I can smell the moss. Thanx for sharing!!.......................Amaris
