As I was driving through Elk Island National Park, Canada, I noticed this guy taking pictures. I patiently waited for him to leave and then got the gear out. I quickly saw the great opportunity that awaited. I wish now that I could see the other images that he captured. The leaves have all fallen now, and tonight the snow falls:-)

Looks like here, 'cept the winds knocked the leaves off the trees and there's a winter storm warning in effect. Everything will be white and grey tomorrow, no more color for 6 months. The colors in this are amazing! Nice post.

Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb. - Churchill

What a glorious sight Darryl - one of the best fall photos I've seen. The large tree to the left leads ones eyes to the road and down the line of golden leaved trees. All the colors of the leaves are rich and lush - magnificent sunlight casting lovely shadows. Super clarity and top notch composition and details. Those tree trunks show lots of texture with their rough bark. This should be voted a 10+++. This image does you proud :^>

Rich. Just plain rich...in color and lighting. Love that huge tree trunk. The DOF is awesome. The lighting on the foliage at the base of the trunk is a pure delight. The little bit of landscape showing on the left side of the tree trunk is just right. The lighting up in the tree stand on the hillside is perfect. This is an eyecatcher and a keeper.
Thks for sharing.

Wow Darryl, this is brilliant with color my friend. The vivid yellows of the Aspen's are such a drawing point for the viewer's eye and using the trees as your natural frame makes me feel as though I am standing there looking at this view with my own eyes. Very tasteful and very classy. And now you have snow? Oh my!! Thanks for sharing this with me ;~)

Crankin' imagery D!! Would've like to seen the tree on the left a tinkle more left so as to frame it up a bit more, if that makes sense. Eye poppin' colorings you nabbed on this work!!

Hi Darryl, WOW, this is truly spectacular , one of a kind, in which you so depict the ending of one season and the beginning of another! You acheived this transition through your marvelous lens, a camera weilded with skill, by an expert! You have presented to us the last of fall in your part of Canada, and left us something beautiful to remember Darryl! MI is still thriving with the most beautiful of the color spectrum, and what a pleasure it is! If perhaps we should have a windy storm , it soon would be ended, and I would be sad, as I haven't gotten any satisfactory shots as yet, been busy with other things momentarily, but I will! The angle used here affords you the best and most color! A fine job Darryl, but then what SHOULD we expect from you! Thank you for sharing your many talents with us, Sincerely, Marilyn
