Hi Kristie, I love the angle and colour tone that you have used. It really enhances the height and might of that awesome tree...the light filtering through the branches and reflections in that window also add to it....Jacquie
A great view for sure, too bad that the shot is a little bit out of focus though (maybe the sepia effect caused that?) but overall a very original and nice image:)
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom i trust". Psalm 91: 1 and 2
I've experimented with similar compositions myself. There is something about the chaotic braches of a tree (nature) juxtaposed by the straight lines of the architecture. Also, the skyward angle sillohuettes the branches. I suspect that while this looks dark and overexposed it is because it was compensating for white out of the sky. The sepiatone kind of hides the bright conditions. I am assuming the faded branches were in the sun while the the rest was in the shade? I would suggest dodging and burning the respective portions of the tree but don't know if its worth retouching due to the low resolution. Love those windows.
