I can't analyze exactly why, but I really like this. I think it is the combination of texture in the rocks, smooth reflection on the wet sand and the sea / clouds background. Really nice blend of elements!

Thanks Accipiter. I thought the same thing which is why I also mentioned it might work well as a desktop. I'm not sure that I really appreciated this shot until I looked at it later.

I like this very much. HEre at the Pacific Coast in Oregon we have huge rock formations much like this. You may have heard about Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach. I like how you "placed" the rocks here, and then the wonderful reflection in the sand and water, it's perfect. Thank you ever so much. Verena
