One of the more unusual compositions I took. I got this one right as he was preening himself. THE PELICAN SERIES IS A MUST SEE IN A LARGER FORMAT. MUCH BETTER THAN THUMBNAIL.
wow again a beautiful shot of a pelican.
Do you work at the zoo?
all these images show that you know them well, and have knowlegde of these wonderful birds.
Anyway it inspires me to go to the zoo sometime soon.

what i would really like to see is a nice abstract of those feathers in the bottom right with the same light where the white meets dark. to me that is the most fascinating part of this image
oh, there we are, finally, one of the best series on caedes! i never thought pelicans could be so beautiful and look magical.. this is my favourite of all the series.. i have to comment on at least hundred of images tonight and i apologize because i have no time to comment on all of the images from your series, but i've downloaded them all and they're all outstanding!
this one looks to me as if he had fallen asleep on his wing.. you know, just like people sometimes do.. we put our hands under the head and..sweet dreams, here we come :) he looks beautiful here. the lighting is simply superb, those shadows make excellent contrast along with the b/w contrast. and the details are, once again, fantastic.
you certainly have a great talent. please, continue to produce wonderful images like these!
thank you for sharing them with us!
