Thanks for the comments folks. Good point B.J. and it is one of the reasons I like the photo so much. You can see how much water they are throwing up and their speed/strength is quite remarkable. Hudson actually smashed his left foreleg recently (doing something like this) and had to have heaps of pins and a couple of plates put in to fix it. But as you can see, he is back to his old self again! ;-)
this is my favourite of the series.. i haven't seen images that express strength and power of the animal world like yours do. details are simply tremendous, the whole shot has a great clarity and the quality is.. remarkable :o) i like the whole series and i apologize for being late with my comments.. we all have a vacation, don't we? :)
i hope you'll visit the zoo more often and make us all happy with your spectacular photos. you really have the talent.. or you had been at the right place in the right time :D in either case, BREATHTAKING photos. highest marks and favourites from me.. just to thank you for sharing this masterpieces with us :)
Jeff, you have done an incredible job capturing these guys, this image just has so much emotion. And the quality of the image is superb.
This is my favourite picture of your series. and i hope you continue to go to the zoo and take more photographs, maybe a elephant next time? lol
Great work.
Peace:)
Thanks for the great shot, Jeff. My first impression was
of a couple of brothers thrashing around. Sharp and
clear, almost human expressions. Keep posting!
I started making pictures round about march 2006 and then stopped in feb 2007 because I sold my camera to Harm Gunnink who is also a member. I'am now saving money for the sony alhpa a100.
Hope you like the pics
