A very lonely photo, showing tons of feeling tho. Kinda wish there were a person sitting there. But I like it the way it is too, the sunset is fantatic. I think what I like most is the fact you were able to get the light on the lamp...to show nicely. I had not seen one of your photos before, but this one was featured on the opening caedes page just now. Baton Rouge..I lived in Louisiana for 14 yrs. Thank you for a great shot, will enjoy touring your gallery. Verena
Niiiiiiiiiice shot! I kinda wish a person was sitting there too: ME! I wouldn't change a thing, actually. And I certainly think you turned "potential" into reality! I love how you captured the colors of the evening and somehow managed to get the light of the lamp perfect too. Oh, and one other thing - because the angle is from "below" the chair (verses a straight on shot) it gives that nice dark silhouette base from which all the colors and shapes spring. A keeper!
Now see here! You have a great eye for composition. --Emptiness of the bench, beauty of the sunset. Natural light/artificial light. The trash can too -- the bad stuff, but also the completeness of needs taken care of. tidiness. Everything in its place, but no one in their place, except the caring eye of the photographer. A great silhouette!
